Exploring the Adidas Nemeziz 19+ FG
Taking a close look at the third generation Nemeziz boot.
Up close on the third Nemeziz boot.
Adidas has changed the Nemeziz silo massively between the second and third generation of this boot, both aesthetically and technologically. Worn by some of the world's most promising players, such as Bernardo Silva and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, this boot is designed to bring agile control to a new level.
This iteration of the Nemeziz boot offers the same bandage type wraparound as the previous models, which offer a tight but unrestricted fit. However, it has now changed from Agility Bandage to Tension Tape; the principle remains the same, though, which provides the perfect fit around the foot.
No laces in the way
The 19+ model offers a laceless collar which is less restricting than other high-cut models that don laces. Adidas has made the layers around the boot tight enough to lock the foot in the boot but not too tight that it is uncomfortable to play in. It offers compression and protection around the ankle and upper foot whilst maximising the strike zone of the boot. The soleplate differs vastly from the other Nemeziz models in the past, where it has has been a singular soleplate offering a mix of moulds and conical studs. The new range offers a split soleplate, however, it maintains the stud system. Additionally, the new boot has the Torsion System insole incorporated, which offers ideal comfort and agility underfoot.
