DEFENSIVE WALL: Fernandinho wins the ball back incredibly well for his team helping them start counter attacks.
The Manchester City midfielder has been on the scene for a long time and his presence has always been felt in each side he has played for. His major move to Shakhtar Donetsk in 2005 allowed him to develop and grow his talents before his move to England in 2013. Since his move to England, he has won three Premier League trophies to date.
- 1. He has been hailed as the greatest Brazilian to ever play for Shakhtar.
- 2. His first two goals for Manchester City came in a 6-3 home win over Arsenal and he was awarded Man of the Match.
- 3. Pep Guardiola praised him by stating “If a team has three Fernandinhos, they would be champions. We have one".
Not your typical Brazilian, but still as important as anybody in Manchester City's midfield.
